Upside Over is a humorous look at family life.  How having children turned my whole world upside over, and discovering that babies don’t come with instruction manuals.  In motherhood I’ve found that someone has hidden the time clock and there is no relief shift coming in.  It takes a look at how you go from wife to mother, from husband to father and the changes that happen as you walk through this threshold to become a family.  It’s about surviving the parent game, and learning that with a sense of humor a family can survive and become stronger, through the laughter and tears, through good times and death, we grow, we bond, we take a step closer to insanity or maybe it just acceptance of what may be.  It reveals my coming to the understanding that for every time there is a season, and if we embrace life then we must learn to embrace death and learn to let go and say good bye.

It explores the monster under the bed ritual I had as a child, if I can laugh at myself, maybe the world can laugh with me as they relate to the subject matter and the incidents that are covered in these chapters. These are stories that are shared at our family gatherings.  We sit for hours and tell stories, laughing until we cry.  These are my stories, my family, and my memories and I hope that they will turn your world upside over too.

 Review from Dorrence Publishing

“Upside Over” is the author’s always charming and often humorous perspectives of the myriad components of family life.  Beginning with the conception of a newly married couple’s first child, the author effectively escorts the reader through the highly and sometimes less significant events and circumstances most will encounters as they navigate the path of life.  From his wife’s transition from hot and witty playmate to overwhelmed and often cranky mother, the husband’s point of view is well depicted.  In vivid detail the author portrays the often maddening, but always rewarding, pains both parent and child endure as they grow.  The dynamics of the various relationships between family members is presented in a realistic and entertaining fashion.  The challenges of today’s society in terms of blended families and divorce is discussed along with the peculiarities the author finds in dealing with men in general.

In sum, Wanita Coy succeeds in painting an accurate portrait of the various family components most will experience in some manner in their lives.  The author’s highly descriptive and humorous style of writing could further enhance the appeal of this work.

Hello Wanita! This was the ideal website for me to visit today!

You see it made me laugh...it made me laugh hard! This is what I needed, after seeing my daughter in the hospital yesterday, looking so pale after having her fourth surgery (with complications)--she's only 37yrs old. So, thank you so much, for giving me a much needed break from misery and sorrow, and feeling good in my heart and body, just from being able to laugh for a spell! God always has a ram in the bush! I'm feeling so much better now, I think I'll go over to my own website and enjoy the song on my celebration page! Feel free to come along and join me, and we'll sing the song together, (smile). http://www.milliesliterarycorner.com
