Dawn of the Blood Moon

They live among us—unknown and unseen—unless they’re the last things we see. They’re the stuff of legend, the subject of novels and movies, but their biggest asset is anonymity. They have life spans with no limit and powers beyond imagination. Feared and hated, they are what we call vampires—drinkers of blood, predators of humans—creatures of the night world.

Dawn of the Bloodmoon is the story of one vampire’s desire to escape the living hell that is the existence of the undead. Confronted unexpectedly with an ancient enemy, the vampire sees an end to its interminable torture and plunges ahead to what it sees as its death. What happens from that moment forward takes the vampire in a direction undreamed of and totally unexpected. For this one vampire, the journey takes it from the realm of the night into the Dawn of the Bloodmoon.

[In Dawn of the Blood Moon: New Moon Rising]

Andross sat on the dirt floor in front of the two men with his legs crossed, tailor fashion. He reached around behind him and pulled a 9mm automatic from the waistband of his breechcloth, an article of clothing he seldom wore. He rested his arms on his knees, letting the gun dangle between them.

"Wait," Puma said," Are you just going to shoot us? Aren't you a doctor?"

"Yes, I am a doctor. But I also have responsibilities. Too many responsibilities."

With that, Andross raised the pistol...

Having survived a battle for survival on the East Coast, a small group of healed vampires escapes to the vast Southwest in an effort to avoid further conflict. There, they want nothing more than to live in peace and raise their families. They discover new allies—and new dangers. Despite their best efforts to blend in, an ancient enemy, and hired mercenaries, invade their home and shatter their peaceful community.

In this sequel to Dawn of the Blood Moon, Andross, son of Justine and Karl, grapples with his supra-normal birthright and his new responsibilities as unofficial leader of this desert community of healed vampires. His only desire is to find a niche for his people between the human and vampire worlds. But soon, he must fight for the very survival of his clan—and make a life-or-death decision.

[In Dawn of the Blood Moon: Pariah]

As Andross rushed out of his house, he had no idea of the battle for life that was going on in one of his guestrooms. What started out as lovemaking for Angelina and Egon quickly degenerated into a struggle for her very life. Egon lunged forward, attempting to latch onto her neck. Fortunately, she was fast enough to stop him from reaching his intended target, and strong enough to hold him off for awhile. But, she was losing the battle.

"Egon! Stop! What are you doing?"

Unheeding of her panicked question, Egon strained to reach Angelina’s jugular…

Shattered by the disappearance of his mother, Andross enters a period of self-discovery. In another part of the world, Justine comes to grips with her self-imposed exile. These two personal struggles play opposite the lives of the members of the blended, desert community of ex-vampires, whose third generation has matured into adulthood. Among them are two amazing creatures, Justin and Karla—fraternal twins—Andross and Tamala's own children. Together, they embody the possibilities of their unique heritage, and show the way to a bright future.

In this, the third book of the Dawn of the Blood Moon trilogy, the arrival of unexpected strangers—and a familiar, evil presence—threaten to destroy all that has been achieved. Andross and his unique family are called upon once again to oppose forces almost beyond their ken—and struggle to preserve a heritage borne out of the agonies of conflict and rebirth.
