Biography

(space for photo)

 Background Information

62 year old wheelchair-bound disabled veteran living in Manchester, NH.  I was born and raised in the United States Air Force and have walked under 18 flags and lived on 3 continents (North America, Europe, and Asia).  I was in Taiwan, the Republic of China for 3 years during the Vietnam war.  I lost my family over there and this, if nothing else, has been a contributor to the blues I write.  Keep living them, so I keep writing them.  Slowly losing body parts to diabetes and have spent far too much time living in VA hospitals and, this too, keeps me writing the Blues.  As a matter of fact, some of my best poems have been written in the hospital.  Almost all of my friends are Blues musicians, and their love, support, and encouragement have kept me writing and kept me living.  I used to think I was writing just for me, but I know better now.  I am writing for them and I am writing  for you.  I have 4 adopted girls, Chris, 28,  Rachel, 27, Sharon 23, and Lauren 22,  in Connecticut and 2 grandchildren, Adam, 5 and Kayla Rene', 8.  Their love is what keeps me alive to write.

 Accomplishments

Working on 9th manuscript.  1st two were published as one book "Reflections On A Mad Poet's Inner Thoughts (A Collection Of Unorthodox Blues Poetry/Songs In 6 Parts)"  OK!  So there's a 7th Part! AND! an 8th.  Who knows?  As long as bathrooms have shelves, there will be places for my books!!  For more on my accomplishments, please go to the Articles/Reviews Page.

 Additional Information

This book contains Part 1 "The Driftin' Dragon's Diary of Decadent and Dialectic Drivel" and Part 2 "The Prancing Pronghorn's Potpourri of Preposterous Piffle".  Parts 3-6 will be in later volumes.  WARNING:  My poetry may contain explicit language and/or strong sexual content.   It is intended for mature open-minded adults only.

Just so you know, my dear and gentle reader, i am neither Carl Sandberg nor Emily Dickinson.  No need to be.  We had one of each of them and it was good.  I call myself primarily a Blues poet, but there's more to me than that.  I can be happy, blue, angry, morbid, and more.  Every time you think you have me pegged, I'm going to throw you a curve.  I'm going to make you laugh.  I'm going to make you cry.  I'm gonna make you think.  I might even make you mad!  I'm going to get inside your head while you try to get inside mine.  I'm not yet an "E" ticket attraction at Disneyland, but I'm going to take you on a helluva ride.  I hope you enjoy the trip!

By the way, I do change the poetry in here from time to time, so keep checking back!
