Jason R. Thrift is an accomplished nurse and husband.  He grew up in Anderson, SC and has lived there all but two years of his life.  The first two years of his life were spent in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas while his father attended seminary school.  For many years Jason had the dream of becoming a writer.  Whether it be for a novel, motion picture or the like, Jason always wanted to tell a story that entertained and intrigued people.  Jason's inspiration came from a multitude of movies throughout his life, from E.T. to Star Wars to Jurassic Park to Independence Day and many current released films.  Jason loved all of these films, but felt they all left room for other possibilities.  Having a grandmother that was an acclaimed writer and editor for The Anderson Independent Mail, Jason's talent for writing and creativity could have only stemed from her.  For several years Jason has thought of many ideas for stories, but simply never thought to write any of them down.  School was a major factor, attempting to earn a nursing degree was highly difficult and took much of Jason's time and creative atmosphere.  Shortly after graduating, Jason fell in love with his wife to be Leslie.  For several years, Jason and Leslie neither one had the means to allow Jason's creative energies to begin to flow, as young newly weds the bonds of matrimony were far more crucial to invest in than a story at the time.  But, as fate would have it, Jason finally found the means and the time to spend on his first novel that is soon to be published.  The Civilization Loop is the culmination of years of investigating and exploring ideas that truly intrigued Jason.  What if people from the future created the pyramids instead of aliens?  What if Atlantis were home to a society that was much like our world today, because it was founded by people from our world of today?  These were ideas Jason loved and studied in his spare time.  The original idea for the novel was thought up in the mid 1990s, but Jason did not begin writing until 2006.  A ten year span that saw no other writer or author come up with an idea quite like the one that was floating around in Jason's mind.  Jason did not write this story as a homage or colloquialism.  He simply wanted to write a story that everyone could understand and be entertained by.  And, as with most time travel movies and novels, wanted to show something that had never been seen before, a paradox.  The other big thing Jason wanted to see different in his novel was allowing people to know what happened.  Far too often in stories about time travel, people never know when something has been changed.  You'll have a grandiose event take place, but because time changes, no one knows it.  That was something Jason wanted to view differently, allowing the world at large to know the change that had taken place.  Now, to know more about The Civilization Loop, you'll have to read the book.  This book will not be the last that Jason will attempt at writing, listed below you will be able to see some of the titles of upcoming ideas that will be delievered to PublishAmerica for future publications.  Enjoy.
