News - Stuff That Is Going On! |

"No arsenal, no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women." – Ronald Reagan

The aforementioned offer is now over and PA Inc. has also ceased publishing the hardback version of my book (which they never told me existed in the first place). Perhaps they don't understand that if they don't tell me these things, I'll never know. Likewise, offering 40% off when I buy 6 of more of my own book is kind of moot four years after the initial novel's publication. I hope there's no anti-defamatory clause in my contract because I look forward to when I can revise the book and send it to a publishing company worth its salt.
In other news, the articles/reviews section received massive cleanup and condensing. Character bios might show up again in smaller form at a later date. --Jeff

I know, I know, it's been close to a year since I updated this thing. But between classes, two jobs and general lack of motivation, I'm surprised it hasn't beena full year. I'll take what I can get. This time, I have a lot of news for you all.
First and foremost, it seems likely (or at least possible) that another book signing will take place at the Stafford Marketplace Borders sometime in the upcoming weeks. I'll have an exact date for you all as soon as I can.
Next, PublishAmerica Inc. has finally taken it upon itself (after four years, har-har-har) to offer up an opportunity to adjust book prices according to my personal recommendation. On their website the running list prices for a SOFT BACK version of the book is 30 dollars and I've yet to see a retailer run it for lower than 25. Personally, I feel closer to 15-20 dollars is a far more acceptable range and has long since been a hurdle that people were held back by. The catch is once I suggest the price, if they accept it, there's a 48 hour window within which a minimum of 19 copies must be sold for the price change to become permanent. At this juncture, I urge everyone interested to contact me ASAP who wants to help me out in lowering the unfairly high price of my novel - which I had no hand in initially setting. Once I have a minimum of 20 people, I'll put my suggestion forth at 20 dollars per book and see if they bite. If so, we'll get use the window of time to order DIRECTLY FROM PUBLISHAMERICA'S WEBSITE. Doing so will adjust the prices at retailers as well to possibly as low as 15 dollars counting bulk discount. Now, a few of you may be asking, "Won't that reduce the amount of money you get per book?" Well, I don't care if it does or not. I wrote the book to tell a fun story, not to get rich. That's why I have a job like everyone else.
In other news, PA Inc. has finally started offered a hardback version of my novel on their website. It's a touch pricey but if you like hardback versions better, it's available to you now.
Thanks! --Jeff

Just a quick update. I edited one of the my editorials and posted up a new, albeit brief, podcast. If you're too lazy to check it out for yourself, I'll summarize. I'm still looking for artists for banners for the parts of my site that lack them, and for character portraits. All interested parties should e-mail me at tdotdw@yahoo.com or IM me. Thanks. --Jeff
