Career:
During his varied career, Andreas held the positions of Programmes Director, Managing Director, Overseas Marketing Executive, Production and Inventory Manager, Group Senior Systems Consultant, European Systems Manager, and Principal Technical Adviser with the multi-national organisations of EDS, PsySys, International Computers Limited (ICL), Pitney Bowes, Plessey (GEC), Raychem (Tyco) and the Engineering Industry Training Board (EITB).
For four years, the Global Programmes Director for EDS (Electronic Data Systems), the largest outsourcing international organisation. For twenty years, the Managing Director of PsySys Limited. a consultancy responsible for the development of systems, management and people. Many of EDS and PsySys clients are international companies, software houses, European Union Commissions and British Government Departments.
Education:
Andreas holds the degrees of Doctor of Psychology, Executive MBA and Doctor of Science. He is a Life Fellow of the Institute of Directors, and a chartered fellow member of eighteen professional institutions for Engineering, Systems, Computing, Complementary Medicine, Management, Production, Programming, Marketing, Petroleum, Data Processing, Psychotherapy, and Counselling.
Other studies included Children’s Art and Psychotherapy, Mental Illness/Mental Health and Advanced Psychological Topics. Andreas established his first therapeutic clinic in 1973. Since then, he continued practising as a Psychoanalyst, Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Philosophical Therapist in various cities of the United Kingdom. Andreas is the current President of the Association for Psychological Counselling and Training, a position held since 1982.
For the last twenty years, a Research Life Fellow, Professor, and a member of working parties in the United Kingdom, European Union, and American Institutes for Information Technology, Management, and Therapy.
Publications:
Many of his research papers and articles were published during his participation as an Information Technology expert, where he represented Britain to the European Union and as a practitioner of therapeutic psychology at the Institute of Psychology and Parapsychology, and the Harley Street Centre, London.
A published author of twenty fiction and non-fiction books, the subjects include Information Technology, Management, Computing, Systems, Risks Management, Change Management, Psychology, Therapy, Counselling, Poetry, and Philosophy. Some of his books and articles were also published on the Internet for the international readership.
Awards:
For achievements in Systems Engineering, Psychology and Directing, Andreas’ biographical records are included in the directory of ‘Who’s Who in the World’, published by Marquis of America and other international biographical publications.
In 2001, Andreas was nominated for the House of Lords membership (non-political) and subsequently was bestowed with the Scottish nobility title of The Laird of Glencairn, and his wife with the title of Lady, the Laird of John O’Groats.
In January 2003, Andreas and PsySys Limited received the Achievement Award for twenty years of continued growth and client satisfaction.
In March 2004, Andreas received the EDS award for Distinguished Global Services with the Company. |
