Phenomenal Man

Hard-knock men wonder
Where about my hardness lies
I’m not a gangster, thug, roughneck
Or any of those hard-knock guys
When I try to explain my theory
Their eyes become leery
So, I say
It’s the heart that lies in the center of my chest
The boldness in my feet
The pride that I keep
I’m a man, phenomenally;
Phenomenal man,
That’s me

I’ve strolled the hard streets
Just as hard as they do
Getting where I have to go
To a woman
The ladies follow behind
Pretending to be part of my shadow
I say
Do not blame those guys
For not knowing who they are
They do not know
It’s the courage in my eyes
My spirit in disguise
The wings sitting on my back
The pigment that makes me black
I’m a man, phenomenally
Phenomenal man
That’s me

Women pondered to themselves
What lies beneath the surface of this body?
Tried so desperately
Still, failing to comprehend this inner quality
Trying to explain it
I had them to sit
And I said
It’s the whiteness of my bones
The perfection of my teeth
The designed fingerprints of my hand
The thing that goes unnoticed
That makes me a phenomenal man
I’m a man, phenomenally
Phenomenal man
That’s me

Now, you should know
Reasons why I keep moving ahead
I don’t blame. Nor do I complain
But seek solutions instead
When you see me coming
You ought to be proud
Of me standing next to
My “Phenomenal woman”
And I say
It's in the width of my nose
The curl of my hair
The fragrance of my cologne
Traveling through the air
'Cause I'm a man, phenomenally,
Phenomenal man,
That's me!

Other Possibilities

I suppose it melts like ice
Perhaps, it can be cut from the whole
Into an uneatable slice
Who knows what happens?
To a dream deferred
I just know it still sings - motionless
Not yet to be heard
Not yet to be seen
Maybe it flow towards the mouth
Of ancient rivers
Heading downstream

In the Name of Freedom

Because we can
Doesn't mean we should
This whole freedom ideology
Be yourself, so called democracy
Is like a wildfire
Out of control
Everyone has something to say
Everyon wants to be!
Just to prove a point
That is pointless
All in the name of - FREEDOM
"I can..I will..." but
To every free choice
Regret is a possible outcome

A Love Story

I lifted my index
placed it upon soft flesh
feeling the texture of outer beauty
rejecting the lies of her delicacy
I deposited my vision
In contact with her splendor
bypassing trivial elements
while prying the authentic worth
of her created existence
Observing her heart
I discovered four chambers
Mother of nature
Wife of one
Widsom of life
Worshipper of God
flowing like the Red River
that sustains life through the valves
with great honor and pleasure, I bowed
proposing an ocean of future prospects
with all due respect, to wed thee
