Image hosted by TinyPic.com

In addition to numerous books signings, I also visit schools and organizations

to motivate, encourage, and teach about the world of writing.

If you would like me to visit your school or organization,

please email me at sherrymoore1 @comcast.net (remove space) for information.

A SPECIAL MEETING

In September 2006, I had the pleasure of meeting Junji Ohkoh.  He is a teacher at Funairi Senior High School in Hiroshima, Japan.  Junji purchased three of Dude; You’re a Crab to have for the students in his school.  He was one of the most sweetest and sincere folks I have had the privilege of meeting.  Junji – I wish you and your students the best of luck and I am looking very forward to visiting your classroom!

LETTERS FROM STUDENTS

The following are just a few of the letters I have received:

"I've never been a good writer. So every day I would go home and write about my day. Also sometimes I would write about things I saw. One day my sister got into my room and got my book that I write in and said my stories are stupid, so I never wrote again. Up until you came to talk to us I hated writing. I mean I hated the thought of it, the smell of it, the taste of it, I just flat out hated it, and that was that. When you came you inspired me to write again. I think I have an idea what I want to be when I grow up."

Alyssa B, 5th Grade

After completing a school project that was stapled together, six year old Madison excitedly told her mom:

"Look, Mom! I've got a book that's 'polished' like Sherry Moore!"

“I never liked to write but I am going to start writing. I am motivated by you – you’re my role model.”

 Jessica E., 6th grade

"I am one of your most fortunate readers because I'm reading your book, Shadows of the Past". I'm reading it with my grandma and we can already tell it's going to be sensational. I think all teens and preteens need to read your book because they can benefit from it."                                                                                         Mercadez, 6th grade
