Born and raised in Campbell River, BC, Sheena has always had her head in the clouds. Writing stories since she could put pen to paper, Sheena started her first novel when she was 16. Now, at 21, she's a published author.
"As a kid I was always writting, it was natural for me. I always had stories going through my head, and I could never write anything short. I fiddled around with these extended short stories until my idea for A Chosen's Sorrow came to me. For years I had been imagining what it would be like to have wings and one day I decided that if I couldn't have wings myself, then at least I could write about someone who did. Thus Shaya was born.
"It was never easy, writing A Chosen's Sorrow, but it was always fun and I wouldn't change that experience for the world."
Sheena has finished the rough draft of her second novel, with no plans on publishing it anytime soon. She is currently working on her third and hopes that it will meet with great success when it's finished.
