Synopsis:
Jen was working as a legal assistant in 2005, when she collapsed, and later was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. During her rehabilitation from this illness, she reflected on her prior twenty-years of law firm service, as both a paralegal and a legal secretary.
In "Time Served", she fictionalizes the most notable findings of her journey, ones she struggles to forget. These findings will likely become most unforgettable to the reader!
Notes from the Author:
This writing exposes the writer’s opinion – that law firms are among the providers of the most unhealthy working environments in existence in the United States.
As the dark side of human nature would have it, a warped seed was planted long ago into the minds of the elite, who have since believed they, as masters of their profession, can protect themselves from any wrongdoing. The ego continues to entertain this crooked idea, as is evidenced by the continual testing of boundaries. The seed’s resulting blossom of evil behavior continues to germinate from one generation to the next, evolving naturally along the way. The resulting fly trap was probably never intended to be so harmful, yet it will not be denied its creation and continued practice.
On the brighter side, there is a way out!
