Dr. Ronald C. Schultz
|
Born in Lockport, New York, March 17, 1946, Ronald Schultz grew up in Niagara County in Western New York State near Niagara Falls and Buffalo. He attended elementary and junior high school at Barker Central School and graduated from high school at Wilson Central School in 1964. Ron attended Niagara County Community College, the State University of New York at Buffalo, and Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana before having a car accident that resulted in spinal cord injury in December 1968. He was at the New York State Rehabilitation Hospital at West Haverstaw in 1971 participating in a research study when he met and married Linda Jewel DeSenso from Brooklyn at the rehab center December 18, 1971. After their wedding, Ron and Linda moved to Florida where they lived in Orlando, Tampa and Gainesville. They currently reside in Ocala, Florida in the heart of North Central Florida's thoroughbred horse country where Ron assists in the operation of his brother's Ocala-based business and is working on another book.
