Dance With Me, is Rob Sargeant's latest published work, released as an e-book in March, 2011. This book came from a passion within me, started at a Saturday morning, men's breakfast. I went to it quite frequently. I would listen to the stories the older men would tell, of how life was when they worked in forestry, or as commercial fishermen on Vancouver Island. One fellow, a retired barber/fine artist, was the one who put the idea into my mind. The idea that life is a dance with God. The trials, joys, struggles, and defeats in life are all part of the dance. Paul Wilbur's worship song, Dance With Me, I remember, also helped by confirming this creative writing focus. So I started writing by asking a question: What would happen if God suddenly, audibly, asked someone to dance? Someone who was a slave to lusts and addictions? And I went from there. - Rob Sargeant
A Silent Violence, published in 2008, is a literary fiction suitable for adults and older teens. Today almost thirty thousand children will die from preventable causes, including, malnutrition, malaria, and AIDS. Tomorrow just as many will perish. This tragic fact inspired me to write, A Silent Violence. I wanted to give these children a voice, in a world that seems to ignore this daily catastrophe. - Rob Sargeant (Click on the covers to find out where the books can be purchased)
