Thomas G. Rees was a teenager when he began writing professionally, working his way through Earlham College as a newspaper reporter. He went on to The Associated Press, magazines, and then spent years in PR, advertising and marketing, and ghostwriting. His non-fiction work has been published internationally. He has lectured widely. Tom, who has voiced numerous tapes and commercials, will voice Good Grief as an audio book.
Alexsandra, known professionally as Sandy Whitefeather, is a Pascua Yaqui Tribal Artisan with an international following for her artwork. She also is a writer and lecturer. Tom says that "she's beautiful, brilliant, fluent in Spanish and English, and so charming she could make a gorilla with hemorrhoids behave like an old friend."
During their years in Tucson, the Reeses operated a giftware manufacturing business, making Native American items, including jewelry. Eventually, the Sandy Whitefeather line grew to more than 1,100 different items. During this time, they were ghostwriters on Preserving Traditions: From Pre-History to High Technology, The Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona, a highly acclaimed volume.
The Reeses reside in Southern California with their two cats and a pooch. They are busy working on a series of spiritual books, a series of Southwest cookbooks, and the sequel to Good Grief -- the Bishop Wore Spurs.
