Kathryn Leal is a certified temperament counselor with the National Christian Counselors Association, she also teaches catechism to middle school students.  Born in Loveland, she continues to live in Colorado with her husband and three sons.  A born again Christian, she hopes to spread the good news of God’s love to hurting teens through her writing.  Raven’s Call is her first book.

I began writing my book in the spring of 2006, at the urging of the Holy Spirit.  What began as a fleeting vision, quickly turned into a book about God's saving grace, and how teenagers can stand firm in their faith.  The book is a mystery, but the mystery pulls the reader in, and reveals truths about God's word, through the relationships of the characters involved.  Although I had not written anything except college literature papers, my confidence grew as I continued to write. The Holy Spirit was definitely leading me.  They say that the closer you get to doing God's work, the more Satan begins his attacks against you, and this has certainly been the case with the whole process surrounding this book.  I have developed health issues, I have had to deal with several issues regarding my oldest son, and my older sister committed suicide. I continue to be attacked, but I know that I can not turn away from where God is leading me.  What is also known however, is that when God allows these things to come to pass, He pulls you closer to Him.  Well, I have come back to my first love, Christ.  I am now ready to bring my testimony and book directly to the church, staring here in Southern Colorado, and perhaps beyond.

I still can't believe that God would choose someone like me, to help spread His word to hurting teens.  Please pray for me, that I will have the courage, and willpower, to continue His ministry.
