I think the writing was perfect for the message you are imparting. You wrote as you lived it for the reader, and it worked very well. It puts the reader there. It is honest, and anyone who reads it can see that. I think it will make anyone who reads it stop and think about what's going on in the world with our children - and their parents who are so troubled they botch it all up.

Still, you were very kind and understanding of the parents and their own inefficiencies, and I think that helps parents as well as children in abusive situations. Your message of hope comes through. Your inner strength shows forth, and that's an inspiration.

I think it was very brave of you to write about some of the things you wrote about, using yourself as an example. It took a lot of guts to do it for the sake of saving someone else in the same situation. Don't be embarrassed about that.
