New World Greetings:Inspirational Poetry and Musings for a New World
by
Mary McManus
Mary McManus grew up in New York in the 1950's. At the age of
five, she contracted paralytic polio in one of the last polio epidemics.
Through her steadfast faith and with the help of a dedicated
physiatrist and loving physical therapist, she was able to walk
again.
In December, 2006, Mary experienced symptoms of post polio
syndrome. Out of severe pain and physical limitations, the gift
of poetry grew within her. Within just five short months, Mary
wrote "New World Greetings:Inspirational Poetry and Musings for
a New World."
Take a journey to a new world with poetry inspired by Mary's
intimate relationship with God and borne out of her healing journey.
Explore new ways to greet pain, conflicts, relationships, endings
and the past and celebrate in Mary's joyous expressions of freedom
as she discovers a new world and greets a new day in her life.
Travel to places in your mind and heart and experience the love
of the Divine. Experience one woman's remarkable transformation of
mind, body and spirit eloquently expressed in "New World Greetings:
Inspirational Poetry and Musings for a New World."
20% of the proceeds of "New World Greetings:Inspirational Poetry
and Musings for a New World" is being generously donated by
Mary to the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital's International
Rehab Center for Polio in Boston, Mass.
