Biography

Elaine Huffman  Elaine C. Huffman

 Meet the Author

Elaine Huffman was born and reared in Dubuque, Iowa, on the banks of the Mississippi River.  Being an adventurous spirit, she has called many places home, including Iowa City, Iowa, Omaha, Nebraska, and El Paso, Texas, just to name a few.  Returning to the wonder of nature, she resides on the banks of the Little Wekiva River in Altamonte Springs, Florida with her husband Danny and their four cats: Mooshca, Bob, Merle, and Joan.

Elaine offers a background in sales and customer service, in many ways complementing her desire to have children of all ages to share in her world of splendor and enchantment.  With Danny’s encouragement and the purring of Mooscha, a children’s book emerged.  Carrying a torch of furry charm and unending travel, she remains passionate in her quest to share stories revolving around three things she cares most about:

            Children

                     Animals

                            The Environment

Elaine feels honored and privileged for the opportunity to entangle all three of the above throughout The Mis-Tails of Mooshca and the Little Wekiva River, a journey for children and animals who care for our environment.

Elaine is passionate about the need to preserve one for the benefit of all.  She believes that if her stories provide a sprinkle of wisdom and tons of fun to the individual experiencing this book to their child(ren) or the children themselves, her mission has been accomplished.

With this in mind, The Mis-Tails of Mooshca and the Little Wekiva River is expected to be on the shelves early next year and is published through PublishAmerica.
