Book signing at Lincoln University was great, can't wait to go back next year with my second book. The staff treated me so well and everyone was friendly...Thanks Goes out to Mrs. Marshall and her staff at the Page Library at Lincoln University. Lots of rain at the Parade but that didn't stop it nor did the rain stop the people's support. It was truly a fun time all around!!

UPDATE: 5/5/07
Still working constantly on my screenplay, I am having such a good time composing this piece of work. I just love the process of writing anyway and then the challenge of doing something different and acquiring so much education along the way from hands on experience. Having a great time creating.
Let's see...Recently I spoke at our local elemenary school to a class of 6th graders and that in itself was inspiring to watch them all sponging up what I had to say.Since I was a guest speaker I was able to throw in some elements of my spiritual journey of being a Believer of Christ and the Almighty Creator God. I had fun there, I challenged the kids with a writing contest with the 1st place prize being a Signed copy of my book, they were really excited about it. Later the teacher told me how the class wrote for almost an hour after I left on their stories and that she overheard two girls saying they wanted to be writers like me and they couldn't wait to read my book. That is the true reason why I write to inspire and plant seeds and to have the previledge of doing that with young ones is always a Blessing. Giving the Glory to our Lord!!!
UPDATE: 4/17/07
My latest news is that one of my writings is in This Months issue of EBONY Magazine. I have been so excited about the entire thing. I critiqued an article on Sen. Barack Obama and his wife and they published my Critique. I give God the full Glory for allowing all things to happen in my life.
I am currently quering magazine about an article that I want published. I have a few articles that I'm fine tuning for publication.
And I am writing a Screenplay from the second book that I've been working on. So, I've been pretty busy in a good way.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It has been a while since I've update my site and I so apologize. Please foregive me. I have been extremely busy. Working two businesses amongst just trying to live my life with being wife, mother, and doer can and will take up alot of time. But anyway, the latest thing I'm working on with my book is mostly web marketing techniques...like making my site better searchable and bringing traffic to my site. The biggest thing I got going right now though...Pray for me Pleeeeeeeease is that I'm corresponding with a huge department store retailer on buying my book and putting it in most of their stores (can't disclose the retailer because nothing is official yet, but use your imagination...huge! Again Pray, Pray, and Pray for me!
- I'm also working on developing this site more and creating a blog space, so please bare with me and thank you for coming to my site and supporting me.

Sorry it's been a while since I've updated my site, I've been so busy...I know excuses, excuses!
I just got my book order delivered to me yesterday from the "Arts in the Park" book selling I participated in. By the way, i did better there than any other book signing yet. I will hand deliver those books this week.
I was invited to attend the Lincoln University(which is where I graduated from) Homecoming Events as a Book vendor, but I didn't have enough time to rearrange my schedule to attend. That's okay because there's always next year. I'm currently looking for my next Gig...I'm trying to have at least one activity a month that I attend or participate in concerning my book.

**My Book Signing this past weekend was a Success. I was happy to see and visit with the ones who came out. I'm a firm believer in that God has everything in control and those who were suppose to have the book "The Quiet Strength Within" have it. Again I want to thank The Mustard Seed bookstore for helping me out, everyone was so gracious there.

View an article on me and my book in the June 19th, 2006 Hannibal Courier Post: Hannibal.net (Cached: Miriam Adams-Washington) : Some of the information in this article is not correct, especially the info about my book being a reflection of my life growing up in Chicago, My book has nothing to do with my life in Chicago. It's too much hassle to contact the Editor about the errors. But overall it's a good article and a great picture. Check it Out!!
