Sleep With The Lights On is a collection of scary stories meant to entertain preteens and young adults, although people of all ages have enjoyed reading these spooky tales. Several of the stories will invoke memories of common childhood fears that everyone has experienced at one point in their lives.

A girl and her mother move into a house whose original owners were cursed, the ghost responsible wants an apology… A trip through the Alaskan wilderness during a snowstorm leads to an encounter of the supernatural kind…. What Grandmother keeps in the basement really is a family secret…. You make a new friend only to learn later that he is really a ghost… Every neighborhood has the legendary haunted house, what if the legends were true. These and several other spooky stories will be enough to make you think twice about turning off the lights before you go to sleep.

About The Author

Michael was born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia. He spent time in the Air Force after graduating from high school and returned home after his tour of duty was over. He obtained an Associates Degree in Electronics Technology and worked as an electronics technician until moving to Maryland in 2000. He is now attending Kaplan University to obtain his BA in Legal Science. He is a single father with three children, a daughter, Kirsten who is 16 and lives in Virginia with her mother, and two sons ages 4 and 5 that live at home with him. He currently is working on his next book which he hopes to finish before the end of 2007.

Michael has received a diploma in Short Story Writing and Journalism in 1990. He earned his AAS in Electronics Technology in 1995. He is currently maintaining a "fluctuating" 4.0 GPA in his studies at Kaplan University. His first book "Sleep With The Lights On" is scheduled to be released in 2007. He is the proud father of his beautiful, brilliant, and loving 16 year old daughter Kirsten. He is also the proud father of two wonderful little boys, Michael Jr. and Ashton.
