This book was a real page turner. The descpiptions were vivid to the point of visualization. It has everything you would expect from a book in the horror fiction genre: blood, gore and suspense. Here, with the authors permission, is an excerpt: Jack wanted to run, but his muscles tightened up to a stiffness the consistency of cured concrete. His lips were moving, but no sounds could be made. Jack stared in wide-eyed, mouth-gapping terror as the leaf-filled monster threw away the cleaver, bent at the waist, straining the safety pins holding it together, and picked up the scythe. The scarecrow stood up and raised the scythe high into the air. In a circular motion, and with great precision, the monster swung with all its might. I highly recommend checking this one out.
