Marvin was born in Sacramento, California in 1956. He has resided in Sacramento all of his life. In 1985, he married Jodie Gore. They have been married for 21 years. They have three children; Crystal, and twins Mark and Rick.

Marvin has been a Christian all of his life but didn’t start writing about his faith until he wrote “Lord, You Are My King” May 6, 2001. Since then he has devoted most of his writing to praise Jesus or to share his faith with others. It wasn’t until late 2004 that he was encouraged to pursue the possibility of publishing his material. After a few months of decision making, he decided to go through with it. Thus, the creation of “In the Prose of Passion”. He loves to write about many topics and tries to keep it simple.
