“In the Prose of Passion” consist of poems a lyrics of many topics and styles. They date back to 1976 when Mr. Lane wrote his first Lyric titled “KC (You’re the One for Me)”. From then on he continued writing off and on for the next 29 years. It wasn’t until the end of 2004 that he decided to do something with his writing on the encouragement of a dear friend. Thus the creation of “In the Prose of Passion” You will be moved by his Spiritual/Inspirational and Sad and Deep material and laugh at his humorous writings.

Why?
Why must we wait
until it's too late
to say the things that we need to say?
Why does our pride
help us to hide
and lead us further away?
Why do our words
become such a curse
to be used in such a cruel way?
When will we realize
that words paralyze
and cause this world to go astray?
Why do we say
the things that we say
knowing they will only cause pain?
One thing I know
and it's starting to show
without Love we have nothing to gain
So we must all
take time to call
and ask that we be forgiven
And learn from the One
Who sent us His Son
to earth from His throne in heaven

The Life I’ll Never Be
Do you see me? Do you want me?
Does it matter that I'm here?
Do you know me? Can you feel me?
Will you ever shed a tear?
What will happen from your action?
When you finally take the plunge
Will your heart ache from the life you take?
When you realize what you have done
When it's over, and you're older
Will you ever think of me?
Just imagine. Can you fathom?
The life I'll never be

Marvin Lane is an outstanding writer, I have ever had the pleasure in reading, his inspirational writes, have always brought me closer to God,and strengthen my faith, his humor ones, well no one can top him in bringing those much needed smiles and laughter, some of his poetry can bring you to tears, he captures the emotions so well in each line is a vivid imagry, as is in all his poetry art.
