Biography

Background Information

My name is Lynn Renee Simon.

I was born in Manhattan, New York in 1953. I attended PS 213, Arthur S Somers and Samuel J Tilden High School in Brooklyn, New York. My family consists of two brothers, one older that has passed and one younger (Allen) that I love very dearly. I met a man in 1968 who won my heart, and I married Michael in 1973. We now reside in the state of Florida. I have always had a deep passion for writing poetry. Until now I have kept my deepest emotions to myself. I hope to share my passion through my words.

My other interests are music of all kinds and helping with computer software issues to a small degree. I also enjoy working in my flower garden.

Accomplishments

In 1997 I had poems published in the Iliard Press, The Poets’ Guild, Quill Books and in the National Library of Poets. I won the Editor's Choice Award for the poem "You Are My Shadow".

I was written up in the Sun Sentinel News Paper in 1997 for having my poems published.
