Lori is happily married and the mother of two wonderful children. She is internationally known for her poetry. Requisitioned by Noble House, she has been published in five different anthologies, Twilight Musings, Songs of Honor, Best Poems and Poets of 2005, Collected Whispers, and Best Poems and Poets of 2007. She has also received the Editor's Choice Award, and the Noble House Poet Fellow Award for her poetry in 2007.

 Her first children’s book Tales of the Tree People "To tree...or not to tree?" was traditionally published and released in November of 2006. In 2009 it received an honorable mention from the San Francisco Book Festival, New York Book Festival and Hollywood Book Festival for children's books.

The Forbidden Forest: Tales of the Tree People was published in 2009.
