 I grew up in the coal fields of Davy with my siblings, and the nightmare of abuse we suffered at the hands of our parents is still with me today.  I wrote my book in hopes of opening peoples eyes to the horrors of child abuse, and the toll it takes on the abused child, and in almost all cases the abuse carries over into their adult years—some never get over the trauma—some struggle with the nightmares forever.   These small victims suffer in silence, their cries gone unheard leaving them with scars that cut deep into their souls.

If you are being abused, seek help.  Tell someone, a friend, a teacher, a pastor.  If you have a suspicion that a child is being abused, don't turn your back, help that little one break the chains of abuse so they can spread their little wings and fly free of pain and heartache.
