. The day had been long - his emotions were still in turmoil. It's funny how just a little time can change an entire life. Minutes can make miracles, and lifetimes can make legacies.
Just a few hours before, he had a brother, a beautiful woman, and a heart so full of joy he thought it would come apart from the sheer happiness of it all. A long loud rumbling thunder rolled through the sky.
Why is it that I always seem to loose brothers and lovers at the same time? A slight frown crossed his lip at the thought.
A strange feeling crept over him. He knew all the trouble was going to be over soon, but it wasn't quite finished yet. There were some loose ends that still needed to be tied up.
There were always loose ends.
But, it was all going to work out. What he wanted now, more than anything, was to get back to her. it had only been a few hours, and his heart was lonely without her. His one-only-true love. She was safe in the city now, and he couldn't wait to see her again. It would only be a couple of days more, but he already knew the time would pass like an eternity. His love for her was stronger than ever. A flash of bright lightening streaked through the night sky.
The yellow roses he had in the cab of the truck with him, were so fragrant, it automatically brought the joy back to his heart. He would give them to her when he saw her again.
Which hopefully would be soon, He thought.
He loved the way her face lit up when he'd give her things. She was so lovely, so pure. The windshield wipers slapped with the beat of the music playing on the radio.
A smile crossed his soft lips as he thought of her. Rain was coming down in torrents; the wipers could hardly keep up with the amount of water racing towards the windshield. Lightening flashed through the air as he got to the large gate. A continual rolling thunder followed. He punched in the code and waited as the large metal gate swung open, and he drove through. Another bright streak of lightening, or what he thought was lightening blasted through the window...
