Biography
Born and raised on Long Island, Lenny graduated from Nassau Community College in
1980 with an A.A. in Liberal Arts. Much to his chagrin, he soon realized the lack of
career opportunities for those possessing such a degree and decided to take action.
He moved west shortly thereafter and, in 1983, graduated from Cal. State Fullerton
with a B.A. in American Studies.
With diploma in hand, Lenny moved to Los Angeles . . . soon realizing employment
prospects were about the same with his new degree. He worked many odd jobs for
several years, including shoe salesman, Zamboni driver, bartender, and his favorite-
substitute teacher.
In the late eighties he returned to college to obtain a teaching credential, and has
been a full-time educator since 1989.
