Although E. Lee Fisher has lived in Washington Grove, Maryland for over 30 years with his wife, Marlene, the southwestern United States remains in his heart. Born in New Mexico and raised in Texas, Lee studied journalism and business administration at the University of Texas and the University of Colorado.  His grandfather was the cousin of John King Fisher, the subject of  "Pendencia Creek."  He is the third of six brothers, four of whom still live in Texas and the fifth lives in Arkansas.

Lee is retired from a career in residential management and construction research.  He has had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the world and the United States.
