In 2003...
Kari's poem "Grace" was chosen by Poetry.com's Selection Committee as a semi-finalist in their International Open Poetry Contest.
"Grace" was published in Poetry.com's Deluxe Hardbound Edition anthology. Kari was also approached with the opportunity to become one of the 33 poets whose poetry would be recorded on Poetry.com's CD poetry collection, The Sound of Poetry.
"Grace" was also awarded Poetry.com's prestigious Editor's Choice Award.
In 2004...
Kari's poem "Energy" was published in JMW Publishing's anthology.
In 2005...
Kari's poem "Lie Awake" was published in Poetry.com's Deluxe Hardbound Edition anthology.
Her poem "Beginning" was also published in a prestigious anthology.
In 2006...

In addition to all the accomplishments above, Kari was awarded Creative Communication's Adult Poetry Contest-Spring 2004 award, which certifies that her poem, Karyelle's Song, was selected as one of high merit and was chosen for publication.
She also won additional prestigious Editor's Choice Awards in January, 2005; January, 2004 and again in February, 2004.
With publishing credits under her belt, Kari continues to write today. |
