Biography

 Background Information

It's no mystery that Joseph Lisowski loves a mystery.  Whether he's talking about the first novel he ever read or the most recent one, you can best it's a mystery.  After growing up under the shadow of Heppenstal Steel Mill in Pittsburgh, Pa., Joseph Lisowski has spent much of his life near the sea, including 10 years in St. Thomas, VI., which serves as the setting for his three published mystery novels, FULL BODY RUB, LOOKING FOR LISA, and LOOKING FOR LAUREN.

He has lived many lives: as a wide-eyed boy, a keeper of keys, a beach comber…   (There are poems somewhere commemorating them all.)  Now he bicycles regularly with his youngest son along the shore of the Pasquotank River near the outer banks of North Carolina. He and his wife Linda are both professors at Elizabeth City State University.   The novel that he's putting finishing touches on now, THE OBEAH SPRIG, is a mystery.  This "detective fiction novel," though, is set in Andros Island, the Bahamas, and in Pittsburgh.   To solve any lingering mysteries, please Google Joseph Lisowski.
