Q. (This is by far the most frequently asked question. Hardly a day goes by that someone doesn't ask me this, and I am flattered every time.) Where is Knighthawke II? A. I am currently working on, what I think will be, the last chapter. Hopefully I will have it complete in 2 months (so what do you want, quantity or quality, huh? )
Q. When will Knighthawke II be available? A. That is an unknown at this point. Before I got into it I had no clue what it took to get a book published. PA only signed a contract for one book. So I have to go through the process of submission, acquisition, contract, editing, etc. But I will keep everyone posted here.
Q. Are you a Trekkie? A. Absolutely, since 9-22-66 when "Where no man has gone before" first aired. I origninally watched Star Trek on our black and white t.v. But when my aunt and uncle got their first color t.v. the entire family, on my Daddy's side, would crowd into their living room on Friday nights to watch Star Trek in color! The references to Star Trek in Knighthawke were intended as a tribute to the legacy of Star Trek. I hope that they were taken as such. I'm also a Star Wars fan. Right now would be a good time to respond to 2 of the posts on my guestbook: (1) To Emperor Palpatine who posted March 17th: Michael is strong and you will not turn him to the Dark Side. In fact your destiny is sealed. You will be destroyed by the hand of Lord Vader himself. I have foreseen it! (2) To Yoda who posted on March 17th: Michael will meet you on Dagobah to continue his training. But he has an important mission to complete first. Planet Earth is depending upon him.
Q. I was interested in the alien organisms that transformed Michael into Knighthawke. They were almost angel-like in their description. Was that intentional I wonder? Thank you for the entertaining book, I'm a fan. Paula B. Kavathas, PhD
A. Thank you Dr. Kavathas for your compliment. You are correct, the analogy was intentional. One of the people who has inspired me is C.S. Lewis. I have always been fascinated with the typeology that he wrote into The Chronicles of Narnia. The Bible refers to Angels as messengers of God and ministering spirits. Along with the work of the Holy Spirit they are sent to help and empower us just like the alien organisms that transformed Michael into Knighthawke. I am really glad that people are seeing that symbolism there. Thank you.
