Messing's Poem to be Featured in Bestselling Author June Cotner's Inspirational Book,
To Have and to Hold: Prayers, Poems, and Blessings for Newlyweds
This book will be released by Time Warner Book Group in Spring, 2007. In addition, Ms.Messing has a fiction short story, "Tuesday Breakfast," accepted for publictation in the May 6, 2007 issue of Seek; she had a poem, "A Love Letter to my Husband," published in a poetry book anthology, The Lovebug, released by Forward Press in the United Kingdom in June, 2006; she had a poem, "Praises," reprinted in the January 2006 monthly newsletter entitled, dsb mail call; and she has recently received positive feedback from readers of her syndicated family movie review column which appears monthly in The East County Gazette and The Christian Journal newspapers published in Oregon.

Messing to Speak on a Panel at the Oregon Christian Writers Winter Conference on February 18, 2006
Jennifer Anne Messing, a freelance writer whose monthly column currently appears in three newspapers, will speak on a panel about Writing Columns at the upcoming Winter Conference of the Oregon Christian Writers on Saturday, February 18, 2006, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Corban College, 5000 Deer Park Drive S.E. Salem, Oregon, 97301. Others panelists include authors Debbie Hedstrom-Page, Bob Hansen, Pamala Vincent, and Petey Prater. The panelists will answer various questions about how they got started writing columns and about the writing and creative process.
Keynote speaker for the conference is author Debbie Hedstrom-Page, who will speak on "The Heart Behind Your Writing" and "Writing that Risks Your Heart." Other writing workshops will also be offered: "Writing Scripts for Drama in Church Services," "Poetry Brigands," and "Minding My Own Business~How to Start and Maintain a Full-Time Writing Business." Messing's Monthly Column Now Published by Three Newspapers
Jennifer Anne Messing has been writing a monthly column for The East County Gazette newspaper in Portland, Oregon since May, 2003. Recently, two other Oregon newspapers have started to feature her column. She reviews and recommends movies for family viewing.

Jennifer Anne Messing was honored to receive the "Writer of the Year Award, 2003" presented by the Oregon Christian Writers at their Fall One-Day Conference and 40th Anniversary Celebration held at the Airport Ramada Inn in Portland, Oregon on October 25, 2003.

Jennifer Anne Messing Continues to Teach at Writers Conferences
Ms. Messing continues to speak and teach at writers conferences on the topics of writing and marketing poetry, and on all aspects of writing articles and stories for publication.
She taught a workshop called "Write & Market Prayerful, Passionate, Polished Poetry" at the Oregon Christian Writers Spring One-Day Conference held on May 1, 2004 at Northwest Christian College in Eugene.
