 Courier-Standard Enterprise  July 14, 2004

FORT PLAIN-  Fort Plain resident, Jacqueline Silvestri, has announced the release of her new novel..."Dancing With the Devil."

Silvestri has written inspirational poetry for years, been locally published, received acknowledgements and awards, and had her work included in hardbound anthologies.  "Dancing With The Devil" is her first published novel, with another, "Houses of Blue"...to be released in 2005.

She is also participating in a new program called "Books for Soldiers".  The campaign was inspired due to the recent moral problems amongst the US Forces serving in Iraq.  Jacqueline is among the many authors who are contributing their books to the soldiers overseas.

"Dancing With The Devil" has already received outstanding reviews.  "Reminiscent of O'Henry, Silvestri has a fresh new way with prose that is certain to impress the most discerning of readers.  Jacqueline Silvestri could very well become a literary legend." (Henry Custer: author of Dirt Floor, Concept of Justice, and Bizarre Justice)  "Very phenomenal writing!" (JoAnn Ruffen of Roundtable Review)

"Dancing With The Devil is available through PublishAmerica.com, Barnes And Noble.com, and Amazon.com.  Jacqueline resides in Fort Plain and can be reached at jacki_silver1@yahoo.com.

The Amsterdam Recorder   July 14,2004

Upcounty writer puts a little bit of herself into her first novel....by Maggie McGuire

Fort Plain resident Jacqueline Silvestri recently released her debut novel, "Dancing With the Devil", putting a clever twist on the topic of divorce.  The book, which Silvestri calls a comical angle on failed relationships, centers on Amanda Douglas...who asks her cheating husband for a divorce-only to have him push her out of his high-rise office building.

As the tale unfolds, Amanda returns from the dead as a spirit to care for her son and haunt her husband.

Divorced herself, Silvestri lives with her son Christopher, 13.

"I think every author puts a little of their life into their work."  She said.

"Dancing With The devil" is available at www.PublishAmerica.com, wwwBarnesandNoble.com, and www.Amazon.com.  Silvestri plans to schedule a book signing at a local bookstore in August or September.

This is Silvestri's first novel but she has had spiritual poetry published in the upcounty newspaper, Courier-Standard Enterprise.  Her next book is sceduled to be released in 2005, and she is currently working on a sequel to "Dancing With the Devil."

"Houses of Blue" is a collection of five short stories that will be released next year.  It is more literary, more intense, than her first novel...Silvestri said.

All of her books thus far have been fiction, though Silvestri said she is interested in trying different genres.

"Fiction to me is a welcome escape...to be able to enter a world of imagination and bring the reader with me through laughter, or suspense, or thought-provoking adventures."  She told JoAnn Ruffen of Roundtable Reviews.

Silvestri also takes part in the "Books For Soldiers" program.  She sends copies of her book to troops overseas.  This program is open to everyone.  Those interested can visit Booksforsoldiers.com for more information.
