The dark world of "Nightfall" Strider Hunter Pennsylvania (4/5/2006)
| |
As an avid reader who has followed "Nightfall" since the early years (2001 to be exact), I cannot fully express my excitement in seeing this story finally published! And congratulations are in order for you William, who crafted the fine vision of "Nightfall" and for so generously sharing that story with us. Taking place in the not-too-distant future where vampires now rule the earth, "Nightfall" is the tale of humanity's last hope against a world gone mad…and bloodthirsty. The plot may sound straightforward, but don't be fooled; there's much more here than meets the eye. Well-paced and developed, the story never ceases to intrigue with engrossing sub-plots and page-turning action. The realistic style and presentation will certainly induce a moment of pause to wonder, “Could this really happen?” And with a large and varied cast that offers insight into the human psyche, “Nightfall” contains characters that are simply unforgettable. And for those that are still wondering, yes, you will experience new extremes of horror. In a genre that readers are finding all too predictable and trite nowadays, “Nightfall” is a prime example of keeping modern horror fiction fresh, entertaining, and unpredictable all at the same time. And I’m glad I’ll soon have a copy of my own to re-read, for when the sun goes down… |
