Biography
Gail Pallotta was born in Charlotte, N.C., in 1942. A graduate of Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, N.C., she has worked as an editor, a copywriter,a freelance writer and a speaker. She's published articles about the wealthy and powerful as well as the indigent and disadvantaged. Married to Rick Pallotta, she lives in Georgia, and has one daughter. In her spare time she enjoys swimming and going to the beach.

I can't believe I had something published!!!: Gail's first published work was a poem, "The Wave," which appeared in the Anthology of American Poetry, Book V, in 1963.
I'm Not Really Into Real Estate. I Think I'll Write: In 1974, after Gail quit work to help Rick start his homebuilding business, she placed her first freelance article, "My Husband, The Chef, in "Lady's Circle" Magazine. In it she gave away the secret to Rick's Italian recipes. It's onions, onions, onions and more onions. Since then she's published 100 freelance articles in local, regional and national magazines.
God Has Been So Good To Me. I Should Give Something Back: Gail has taught writing classes at several elementary after school programs in Cobb County, Georgia. She's been a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Marietta, Georgia, for 20 years. A former Sunday School teacher, she's also volunteered for Christmas International House, which houses and feeds foreign students who can't travel home during the holidays, and Club 330, an organization for children who have no where to go after school. She currently serves on the Chancel Guild.

Received The Atlanta Writer of the Year Award from the American Christian Writers Association, June 25, 2004.
A poem, "Thank You God, for...," which appeared in the November issue of the "Presbyterian Survey" in 1975, was selected for a book, The Power of One, in 1976. It was published to represent the best writing in nine different denominations.
The original manuscript for an article, "Next Stop Brookwood Station," which appeared in "Inside Buckhead" in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1988, is in the subject file at The Atlanta History Center.
A poem, "Country Spring," was selected for Best New Poets of 1988, published in June, 1989.
Recognized in Who's Who In Writers, Editors and Poets, first listed in1988; Marquis Who's Who In The South and Southwest, first listed in 1995; Cambridge Dictionary of International Biography, first listed in 1995; The World Who's Who of Women,1st listed in 1996.
