Biography
While growing up in the tropics, Judy Ramsook spent much time, especially school holidays and vacations at the various beaches from which to choose. In addition, she also enjoyed watching cricket matches, a sport of which, she is still an avid fan.
Born and raised in the twin island nation of Trinidad & Tobago, Judy Ramsook came to the US in the mid eighties where she attended San Antonio College and the University Of Texas At San Antonio. She currently resides in San Antonio.

In a high school poetry contest while at ASJA Girls' College in Trinidad, she won "Emily Bronte's" "Wuthering Heights" and although she had been writing short stories and poems before winning the prize in the competition, a combination of that and encouragement from high school English teachers motivated her to keep on writing. In addition, while the same high school, she also published a poem titled: "The Searcher" in the Trinidad Guardian newspaper. Furthermore while at San Antonio College, in Texas, she published one of her poems in the student newspaper, "The Ranger" in the spring of 1986 upon hearing of the crash of the "Challenger" space craft, the poem was titled: "Space Shuttle Disaster."

Currently she is a columnist at a few online magazines while she continues to work on other material.
