 Background Information

Erin Lale: Artist * Author * Gythia

Lale has been a gythia (priestess) of Asatru since 1989. She has published extensively, including nonfiction, fiction, poetry, technical writing, advertising, speeches, scripts, academic papers, newspaper columns, and voiceover narration. She was the publisher and editor of Berserkrgangr Magazine in the mid 1990s, and managed the Asatru MSN Group until MSN Groups closed. Erin Lale is the world's most prominent contemporary sunprint artist. She directed the magical realist short art film Rain Dance and is the instructor on several how to DVDs, including How to Make a Sunprint, How to Dye Silk, and the video version of the Rune Seminar that she gave in bookstores for many years, with more books and films on the way.

 Additional Information

Lale lives in Green Valley, Nevada, with her mom, Meta, her Bengal, Beni-Wan Cat-Obi, two drums named Mr. Hairy Goat and Grandmother Elk, a Silverado named The Warhoop Wagon, and an invisible garden gnome that prefers not to be named. She shares this space with altogether too many kitchen gadgets, a garden of woefully inadequate size, and a fabric stash that is busily proving the theory of spontaneous generation.
