Family Ties
I was privileged to be a part
Of something almost now extinct
These days I feel it might be best
But it's sad too, I think
There were seven of us kids
Born to Mom and Dad
We had to be a headache
But if we were, they never said
There was always someone to play with
And though we had no store bought toys
I believe that we had more fun
Than the richest girls and boys
Mom and Dad provided us
With lots of love and care
They taught us how to treat other folks
And to be honest and be fair
And even though we're older now
We still find our ways
Of getting together when we can
And recall "The Good Ole Days"
