REVIEWS
As you "stroll" through the lovely flowers of Joyce Ann Edmondson's "The Listening Tree," you can feel the spirit, soul, and love of the author. While reading I was introduced to the spirit of all grandmothers. Having never known my own grandmothers, I felt appeased and satisfied with the warmth, care, thoughts, and wisdom chronicled so lovingly over the course of the author's life. She wrapped me in the loving arms of her eloquently written words to nurture my soul and spirit; and the little girl in me soaked it up with delight as if I were sitting on grandmother's lap. "Grandmother," how precious that name is to me, and even more so now. The author leaves a legacy of wisdom, passion, and love of Jesus as an inheritance to her precious grandchildren; how blessed they are indeed.
To merely recommend "The Listening Tree" seems so trivial, when one is trying to convey the heart and sincerity of the recommendation. Yet I say sincerely, get The Listening Tree as a gift for those dear to you. Some are recommending it for grandparents and parents--which is excellent; however, this reader can say that for grandchildren who hold their grandparents in reverence, to receive "The Listening Tree" as a gift inscribed with loving words--and signed with whatever name your grandchildren call you--would be one of the nicest and loving memorials you could leave of yourself. *****
