Her brother stays with an aunt and uncle.Maggie is no sooner in Darlington, South Carolina, than she meets the man of her dreams. Also, her grandmother puts her to work researching some genealogical problems at the local Historical Commission. There she meets another and more sophisticated young man.Maggie is pulled between the two young men so much that it soon explodes in her face. Then she finds some rather startling material in her research, materials that soon land her in the hands of a man obsessed with her. She is being stalked. Fear becomes real, to everyone involved, but it becomes worse for Maggie who is the object of the stalker’s hatred and violence. |
