A private book signing was held at the Vista St. Lucie library on December 15th for Diane DesRochers' book, A Matter of Time. A number of Vista residents dropped by to have their books personally signed by the author. | On April 28, Ms. DesRochers visited Ms.Sullivan's 8th grade gifted reading class at Dan McCarty School in St. Lucie County where students selected A Matter of Time for their book club book. When Ms. DesRochers visited the class the students had many questions about how she got started writing, why she chose the Halifax Explosion, etc. before she signed their books. After the students read the book and completed their projects, Ms. DesRochers returned. She was extremely impressed with the complexity of the projects: several Power Point projects, posters, a model of the two ships in papier mache, and a 24 stanza poem.
| | | Book signings were held in August in Peterborough, New Hampshire and on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
Ms. DesRochers continues to sell her books at local green markets and craft shows.
