Denise P. Jeffries has been writing since 1993. Her short stories and essays have appeared in The Sun Magazine, Mother's of Writers. The Healthcare Digest, The Healthcare Alliance and the Riverside Nurse.
Mrs. Jeffries, a Registered Nurse resides with her husband, Leon, in Newport News, Virginia where she works as a critical care nurse and nursing supervisor. She was born in New Jersey and has been a resident of Virginia for many years. She graduated from the Riverside Hospital School of Professional Nursing where she received a Diploma in Registered Nursing. She has also studied at Hampton University where she recieved a Certificate in Paralegal Studies and the California College of Health Sciences where she is currently seeking a Bachelors Degree in Health Care Administration.

She has been noted in Who's Who of American Nursing, Who's Who in the South and Southeast, Who's Who in American Women, Who's Who of Healthcare and Medicine and Who's Who of Professionals.
She is a member of the Romance Writers of America and the Chesapeake Romance Writers where she currently serves as President. She is also a member of the International Women Writers Guild and Romance Diva's.
Her poetic interpretation was displayed at the Suffolk Art Museum, Suffolk, VA in May 2004.
