Background Information:
Dawn Wortley-Nott was born in England on 10th September 1944 and lived in Chiswick, West London, until she was seven. She then moved to Greenford in Middlesex, where she later worked at Glaxo Laboratories as a Typographer and Paste-up Artist. She married in 1968 and moved near to the Oglanders' ancestral home and estate in Brading. She soon became interested in 17th century knight Sir John Oglander, King Charles 1 and the English Civil War. When her two sons were older she began researching and then writing Quill of Blood. Her son, Laurence, now works in computers, and David junior is a Sergeant in the Army and has served in the Middle East. |
