Biography

 

 Background Information

 

Charmane Rae Kelley was born in Morrisville, Vermont into a farming family, the Moreys, of Morey Hill in North Wolcott, Vermont.  She attended Peoples Academy of Morrisville and graduated in 1978.  Over the past twenty-four years, she has attended colleges for adult continuing education courses in business management, principles of management, Accounting I and II,  business law and computer literacy.  Ms. Kelley, in addition to being a new author, has been in business management and accounting positions for hotels, an accounting firm, a travel agency, a graphics design firm and full-fledged advertising agency over the past 17 years.  She started her own marketing and financial management company in 1997. 

 Accomplishments

 Ms. Kelley was named Mrs. Vermont International in 1998, and participated in a pageant in Tyler, Texas in August of 1998. Her platform statement was based on racial equality and solving world hunger by teaching people to grow their own food. In 2000, she was named a volunteer for the Citizens Network of Foreign Affairs, where she travelled to Mt. Darwin, Zimbabwe to teach financial record keeping and financial management to the Mt. Darwin Oil Pressers Association of business owners.  She is an accomplished musician, playing the piano, guitar, flute, piccolo and saxaphone.  She has raised her daughter, Sara Levine, now 17, and considers Sara the greatest love of her life, and most valued of her many accomplishments. Sara is a wonderful writer of short stories and poetry as well. Ms. Kelley writes poetry and song lyrics, with four new songs being released in 2004, "Shadows of My Heart;" "Eternal Love;" "I Dream of You," performed by David Fox of Redrock Records; and "Beneath a Country Moon," co-written with Kirk Comiskey, of Nashville Music Productions.  She just released a new song in 2006 titled, "My One and Only You," a soul, rhythm and blues tune, produced by David Fox and Art Kaufman of Magic Key Productions and Red Rock Records!

 

 Additional Information

 Ms. Kelley served as membership secretary for the Lamoille County Farm Bureau in Lamoille County, Vermont from 1998-2004.
