Was born in 1954 in Memphis, Tennessee. I was Adopted by James L. and Bettye Grisanti that same year. I graduated from Bishop Byrne High School in 1973 and joined the Navy. After a stint in the Navy I never seemed to find any direction. I did maintain my love of reading and some writing. I only wrote to entertain myself and to relieve stress. I found that it calmed me. Although I never told anyone of my love for writing, I continued. I had always been under the impression that my family viewed writing as a less then desireable profession.
I pretty much spent most of my life wandering from place, situation to situation. I could never seem to find a place that I felt comfortable. I moved to Littleton, Colorado. I had hoped that I would find a direction there. All I found was heartbreak and alcoholism. In my lonliness this grew stronger. I made even more mistakes. My self-esteem weindled to almost nothing. I decided that this was not where I would find my peace. All the while I kept up my writing.
After returning to my home in Memphis, I got the feeling that I did not belong here either. Something was missing in my life. I got into computers and internet chat. I had a lot of fun with this and it helped keep me from drinking. While on the internet, I met a wonderful woman and moved to Canada to be with her. She noticed that I had a love for writing and I could tell stories about anything. She pushed me to write and wanted me to try and get some of my work published. She also wanted me to write about her experiences as a child.
After her pushing me for awhile I decided that I would take a shot at it. I took my experiences since moving to Canada and formatted it into a book. I have also redone a lot of the things that I have written in the past and have found that I have several books to submit. Publish America has accepted these. My wife’s constant support of my writing has been a lot of the driving force behind what I do. I never thought I would get this far but, she did and I thank her for that. I finally realized that I love doing this and I am always coming up with something new.
