Background Information |
Though I was born in the small mining community of Hazard, KY, my family was constantly on the move - mother looking for a new church or daddy for lack of work. But during that time, the forest and its streams became my second home. A place where I could provide that special meal for a poor man's table, or loose myself in dreams, as I read from the hand-me-down books I had received from another. After pulling two tours in Vietnam with the US Marine Corps, I settled in the friendly little town of Morehead, KY and eventually became a building contractor. I have resided in Morehead since 1969, with my wife Joyce and our family of dachshunds and beagles.

Accomplishments |
My greatest accomplisment has been the learning and understanding of the meanings of love, honor, pride, and respect. For without either, we are nothing, even to ourselves, let alone to the ones we love.
