Born in Sao Miguel Acores, Ana's family imagrated to Canada in 1974.  She grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. Where she resides with her husband Doug and son Christopher. From an early age Ana had a passion for fiction writing. Ana has numerous family members and friends who are her greatest support team.
