 This Maryland native is a Chesapeake Bay waterman's daughter and inherited the 47 letters from her maternal great-grandmother that form the basis for her first book, “A Heart Divided.” She also inherited that same ancestor’s love of writing and her fascination with travel. Sarah has enjoyed rewarding careers in the travel and tourism industry, earning her Master Cruise Counselor designation. She has traveled throughout the Caribbean, Alaska, England, Scotland, and Wales. Sarah is currently the Executive Director of a local Convention and Visitors Bureau. She also enjoyed six years as a busy corporate special event planner.
Sarah shares the name “Fredericka” with her mother and with her grandmother. This serves as an on-going reminder of the beloved cousin Fred for whom they were named, and one of the most important characters in "A Heart Divided".
Sarah is a Christian who loves the Lord. In addition to writing, her hobbies include gardening, nature photography, family history, travel, and scrapbooking. Her solitude is precious to her and stimulates her creativity. She and her husband Marty have been married for more than 33 years and they have no children. They enjoy a quiet, contented life along with their 2 cats, Sidney and Murphy, in the peaceful Indiana countryside.
