Reflections of a Lifetime

Saul Honigsberg's memoirs span some sixty years emcompassing many social and cultural changes. His narrative begins with simple times as a boy growing up in the 1930's and 40's. Saul relates many poignant stories from this time in his life including family gatherings in the Jewish tradition, the horrific experience of nearly drowning, and demolishing a neighbor's horse
fence on an uncontrollable toboggan ride. Many more stories reveal the close relationship between family, friends, and neighbors.

As his story progresses, Saul recalls life as a young man, participating in an Intramural Golden Glove Boxing Tournament, competing in riflery throughout the United States on the University of  Maryland's Rifle Team and his love for hunting and the out-of-doors. His life also includes a career spent in private business as well as government in Prince George's and Montgomery County, Maryland.  Saul's narrative is peppered with comical anecdotes about family
and friends.
