| Testing the concept that “Reality Is Perception,” C.J. Bock and Byron J. Mason are looking for ways of making connections...with themselves, their reputations, and with others - namely, their mothers. The presence of domineering wives, secrets, and Mussolini's ghost aren't helping. C.J. Bock, the mayor of a mid-size midwestern community, is searching for his two mothers in hopes of validating and coming to terms with their respective presence and absence in his life. Meanwhile, Byron J. Mason, a college instructor, knows all too well who both of his mothers are, and he's afraid his own self-destructive tendencies are, or will be, responsible for their demise. |
